V.I.D.A.

Cuando somos pequeñas sabemos lo que nos gusta, lo que nos divierte, nos atrevemos a soñar y a disfrutar de la vida, pero a medida que cumplimos primaveras nos encontramos con normas y barreras que delimitan la zona del rebaño para que todo funcione según lo establecido.

V.I.D.A. es un libro escrito por Ana Albiol que decidió tomar las riendas de su vida y ser la capitana de su barco. Ana se abre el canal, en sentido figurado, y nos cuenta su historia de V.I.D.A., sus fortalezas y debilidades, sus fracasos y logros, sus sueños (in)cumplidos y metas aún por cumplir. V.I.D.A. es una autobiografía que te hace reflexionar sobre lo que verdaderamente importa en esta historia: Tú. Y es que la mayoría de las ocasiones los seres humanos nos olvidamos de quiénes somos para satisfacer las necesidades de otros. Es importante no olvidarse de uno mismo porque como dice Jorge Bucay:

Tú eliges hacia dónde y tú decides hasta cuándo, porque tu camino es un asunto exclusivamente tuyo.

Ni blanca ni negra, yo elijo ser la oveja turquesa. En psicología, los colores tienen diferentes significados. Por ejemplo, como color de la personalidad turquesa, yo soy, entre otras cosas, empática, sensible, amigable, organizada y a menudo un alma evolucionada o vieja. Busco la realización espiritual e intento crear equilibrio en mi vida aunque a veces mi interior sea una montaña rusa emocional. Sí, soy una oveja turquesa. ¿Y tú? ¿Qué oveja eliges ser?

Hace tiempo que decidí soñar a lo grande y emprender mi camino, pero a diferencia de Ana, mi familia y mis amigos apoyaron mi decisión y la entendieron. Sentí la necesidad de emprender el velo y probar. Probar a vivir en un país extranjero y a sacarme las castañas del fuego, a mejorar mi nivel de inglés y a aprender el idioma checo, bonito pero intenso. He vivido nuevas experiencias de vida, he conocido gente de diferentes nacionalidades y he crecido personalmente y profesionalmente. La vida es un aprendizaje constante y la experiencia es el mejor aprendizaje, es lo que nos hace más felices. Aunque ha sido una montaña rusa de emociones, la vuelta ha merecido la pena y sigue mereciéndola. Recuerdo que un profesor de secundaria le dijo a mi madre una vez: ''Tú hija es como una tortuga, se desplaza con más calma que el resto, sigue su propio ritmo pero cumple con sus objetivos''. Y es que muchas veces la constancia es más importante que la velocidad. Es importante tener paciencia y tomarse las cosas con calma para llegar a donde queremos estar. Como dice Ana en su libro y Luis Fonsi en su Despacito: pasito a pasito, suave suavecito. Quiero creer que con trabajo, esfuerzo y determinación todo es posible. Porque lo que realmente importa es continuar y seguir construyendo el futuro donde queremos ESTAR.

V.I.D.A., L.I.F.E. in English, is a book written by Ana Albiol, a Spanish influencer who decided to take the reins of her life and be the captain of her boat. Ana opens her heart and tells us about her life story, her weaknesses and strengths, her failures and successes, and her (un)fulfilled dreams and goals to achieve. V.I.D.A. is an autobiography that makes you reflect on the things that really matter: You. Because most of the times we forget who we are in order to meet someone else's needs. It's important to not forget yourself in this journey. As Jorge Bucay says:

Only you choose where and until when, because it is your way, a matter exclusively yours.

Neither white nor black. I choose to be a turquoise sheep. The colours have different meanings in psychology. For example, as a personality color turquoise, I'm empathetic, sensitive, friendly, organised and an old soul among other things. I look for personal fulfillment and I try to keep balance in my life, although sometimes my inside is like a rollercoaster. Yes, I consider myself a turquoise sheep, and you? Which sheep do you choose to be?

I decided to dream big a long time ago and lead my way, but unlike Ana, my family and friends supported my decision. I felt the need to embark on a new adventure and just try, I guess like many other people. I wanted to live in a new country, improve my level of English and learn a new language, Czech to be more precise which I find a beautiful language but quite intense. Basically, I wanted pull the chestnuts out of the fire. I have learnt important life lessons, I have met new friends from different nationalities and I have grown personally and professionally. Life is a constant learning process and experience is the teacher. It has been a rollercoaster but the ride has been worth it. It's still worth it. I remember a Secondary teacher telling my mom: "Your daughter is like a turtle, she moves slower than the rest, following her pace but accomplishing her goals". Because most of the time constancy and perseverance are more important than the speed. It is important to have patience and take things easy in order to be where we want to be. As Ana says in her book and Luis Fonsi in his song Despacito: pasito a pasito, suave suavecito, which means step by step, slow slow. I want to believe that everything is possible with hard work, effort and determination. Because what really matters is to build the future where we want to see ourselves.
